sustainable development of the aquaculture and renewable technology industry
Subsea Harvest was founded in 2021. Subsea harvest and our Wind current system have matured into genuinely innovative concepts.
Our technology is patented and becomes a flow-through system with low energy consumption, low operational costs, and environmentally beneficial for the aquaculture industry. Optimum sea temperature gives flexibility and ideal temperatures for the salmon continuously all year round.
The technology fully integrates an automatic biomass control system that moves the fish between the different tanks given the right weight or welfare of the fish. The concept will have machine learning to verify each individual before being moved to another tank. This will work like an auto store system beneath sea level, for salmon!
If one of the tanks would be so unfortunate to be contaminated, the tank will register the different stress levels, and only remove the tank that has been touched. Therefore, it won’t deplete your entire biomass, but rather just a small amount, to keep the production optimised through the whole operation cycle.
Subsea harvest collects water from 20 meters to 150-meter depths, depending on the season, which provides stable temperatures between 7 and 12 degrees all year round. This provides optimal growing conditions for Atlantic salmon in clean and oxygen-rich water, thanks to the sea current. We have developed methods that are innovative and energy efficient, ensuring the right water flow for salmon farming.
In the rapidly evolving energy sector, the need for sustainable, efficient, and reliable energy sources has become paramount. As global environmental concerns intensify and the limitations of fossil fuels become evident, the transition to renewable energy is indispensable. Within this landscape, the ‘Windcurrent’ system emerges, an innovative fusion of modern engineering designed to harness both wind and hydro power within a single floating unit.
In summary, the ‘Windcurrent’ system represents a technologically advanced approach to holistic energy extraction. By juxtaposing wind and marine current technologies, it not only boosts efficiency but also embodies the epitome of sustainable and resilient energy systems for future implementations.
